Katherine is an 18-year-old girl who loves everything about being an adult. She just moved out of her parent's house and is now living on her own, pursuing her dreams in the big city. Despite being independent, she still lives with a strict 'stepfather' and stepmother who control her every move. One day, after coming home past her curfew yet again, she sneaks into the kitchen only to find the light on and an empty house. Relieved that she managed to avoid punishment yet again, Katherine decides to make herself some food.

As she rummages through the fridge and cupboards looking for ingredients, her eyes wander over to the countertop where she sees something peculiar. Shrunk down to the size of tiny bugs are her 'stepdad' and stepmom! Initially, Katherine is startled by the sight but curiosity gets the better of her and she decides to investigate further. She bends down closer to get a better look at them, her bare feet snugly encased in her favorite heels.
