Vanessa is getting ready for the day, opening her wardrobe and selecting a black dress. As she steps aside, she accidentally crushes a tiny man hiding within her socks. Unaware of his presence, she continues to prepare for her day, slipping on black socks and flat shoes. At school, it's teacher training day. Vanessa walks into her classroom, oblivious to the tiny man still stuck to her sock. She sits down at her desk and starts to slip her foot in and out of her shoes, unaware that she's crushing the tiny man each time. The tiny man manages to escape from Vanessa's sock and falls onto the floor. He tries to get her attention but she can't hear him. Vanessa grabs a new pair of wedges from her bag, slipping one of her socks over the tiny man once again. As she puts her foot in, her heel slams down, trapping the tiny man underneath. Throughout the day, Vanessa walks up and down, twisting her heel, completely unaware of the tiny man's suffering. At one point, she even accidentally steps on him, crushing him again. The tiny man is left terrified and trapped, completely at Vanessa's mercy. When Vanessa goes home, she empties her bag and discovers the tiny man, still alive but battered and bruised. She hears a knock at the door and opens it to find her friend Katie, another teacher from school. They sit down at the table, both wearing black socks. As they chat, the tiny man tries to get their attention but is ignored. Suddenly, they start to dance, jumping and twisting in their socks without realizing that they're stepping on the tiny man over and over again. Eventually, they notice something on the floor and assume it's a bug. They both start to stomp on it, completely unaware of what they're actually doing. The tiny man is left terrified and alone, completely at the mercy of these giant women. Despite his pleas for help, he's just another insect to be squashed under their feet. The experience leaves him traumatized and forever changed.
