The day started off as an ordinary one for Mila and her two best friends, Natalie and Lily. They were hanging out in Mila's living room, chatting about boys and school while sipping on some iced tea. Suddenly, a loud thud interrupted their conversation. They all turned towards the sound, which came from Mila's backyard. As they made their way towards the source of the noise, their hearts were pounding with anticipation.

Cautiously approaching the fence separating her garden from the rest of the yard, Mila peered over it. To her surprise, she saw something small and incredibly tiny lying motionless on the ground. Gently pushing aside some taller grass, she saw what it really was - a tiny man! He was no bigger than a doll or action figure.

Mila couldn't believe her eyes. She'd never seen something like this before. She turned to face her friends, a mixture of shock and excitement on her face. "You guys won't believe what I just found," she said, her voice quivering with disbelief. Natalie and Lily exchanged curious glances before following Mila back to where she had found the tiny man.

As they got closer, they could see that the little man was injured. He was laying face down, and there was a small wound on his back. Natalie, ever the caregiver, immediately kneeled down beside him and gently rolled him over onto his back. Her heart was racing as she had never seen anything like this before either. "What do you think we should do?" she asked, her voice shaking slightly.

Lily, who always seemed to have a plan, looked around before speaking. "I say we take him inside and try to fix him up," she suggested. "We don't know where he came from or how he got here, but we can't just leave him out here like this."

Mila nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that makes sense. But what if he's, you know, dangerous?" she asked, nervously glancing at the tiny man lying before them.

Natalie chuckled nervously. "I don't think so, Mila. He's so small. And besides, he looks more hurt than anything." Reaching out, she gently picked up the tiny man, cradling him in her hands like a baby. Lily and Mila watched in awe as she did this, wondering what she was thinking.

Together, the three of them carefully carried the injured man inside and laid him down on Mila's bed. They didn't know what to do next, so they just stood there, watching over him. Natalie gently stroked his hair, trying to comfort him. Lily suggested calling an ambulance, but Mila didn't want to risk it - what if they couldn't explain how he had ended up so small?

Hours passed, and still there was no sign of the tiny man regaining consciousness. It was getting late, and Mila's parents were due home soon. They had to make a decision - do they risk calling an ambulance or do they leave him here and hope for the best?

Natalie was the one who eventually suggested calling a hospital anyway. "We shouldn't just leave him here," she argued. "What if something happens to him? We have to at least try and get him some help."

Mila and Lily reluctantly agreed. So, with trembling hands, Mila picked up the phone and dialed their local hospital. She explained the situation to the nurse on the other end, who was understandably skeptical. However, she promised to pass on the message to the doctor and arranged for them to bring the tiny man in.

And so, with great care, they transferred the tiny man onto a pillowcase and drove him to the hospital. As they walked briskly along the corridor, holding their breath with every step, they couldn't help but wonder - would the doctor believe them? Would they be able to help this tiny man? The anticipation was almost too much to bear.

When they finally reached the emergency room, they were greeted by a young doctor. They showed him the tiny man, explaining how they had found him outside. The doctor took one look at the tiny man and frowned. "I've never seen anything like this before," he said quietly. "I'll need to run some tests."

Mila, Natalie, and Lily nervously waited in the waiting room while the doctor examined the tiny man. They couldn't help but speculate on what might have happened to him - were they responsible somehow? Would they be in trouble when the truth came out?

After what felt like forever, the doctor emerged from the examination room. His face was grim, and Mila could see the fear building inside her. "I'm afraid I have some bad news," he said solemnly. "Our tests indicate that the injuries this man sustained are too severe for us to treat. The best thing we can do for him now is to keep him comfortable until he passes away."

Mila, Natalie, and Lily were stunned into silence. This was not at all what they had been expecting. They had hoped against hope that the tiny man would pull through, that they would be able to help him. But now it seemed like all they could do was watch him suffer.

Together, they decided to sit with the tiny man, holding his hand and talking to him softly. They didn't know what else to do, but they felt like they owed him that much. As they sat there, lost in their thoughts and fears, the tiny man's breathing began to slow. And then, with one final whisper, he was gone.

His body was so small, almost petite, like a doll's. They gently laid him on a small table and silently looked at each other. They had just witnessed someone's life slip away, and it had left them feeling both incredibly sad and strangely alienated. They didn't know how to process what had happened, or what they should do next. All they knew was that their lives had been forever changed by this tiny man, and they would never forget him.
